5 people were arrested from Delhi on suspicion of being militants. A special cell of Delhi Police was arrested in an encounter from Shakarpur area on the same day. Initially, police estimated that two were from Punjab and three were from Kashmir. Police suspect that each of them is associated with ISI and Khalistan people.
Delhi Police Special Cell DCP Promod Kushwaha said two teams from Punjab and Kashmir have been arrested. The Punjab team was involved in the killings. Three suspects from Kashmir were involved in drug trafficking. They were arrested after an encounter from Delhi.
The arrests demonstrate how Khalistani forces have conspired with militants in Kashmir. According to him, the three people arrested in Kashmir were said to be working for Hizbul Mujahideen. They have bases in Pakistan. At the same time, they have set up bases in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. ISI is trying to connect the two.
According to Delhi Police, two of the detainees were involved in the murder of Balwinder Singh of Punjab, who received the Shaurya Chakra award. Balwinder was shot dead in front of his house in Taran Taran district of Punjab. DCP Promod Kushwaha said two of the suspects killed Balwinder. Their names are Gurjit Singh Bhura and Sukhdeep.
Punjab police is investigating the incident. They admitted that the weapons were confiscated on that day and that Balwinder Singh was killed with them. According to the police, the murder plot was hatched in Punjab for two main purposes.
1st, to spread communal violence, and 2nd, to shut the mouths of those who resist militant activity. According to the Delhi Police Special Cell, the two men involved in Balwinder Singh’s murder are linked to Sukhmit and other miscreants.
These miscreants have joined the ISI. In addition to weapons, drugs were recovered in the operation. 2 kg of heroin along with 3 guns and 1 lakh rupees were recovered. However, the Delhi Police said that they have not joined the peasant movement.
