Armenia Asked for Russia’s Help According to The Military Agreement on Amid Karabakh War

Armenia is fighting a fierce battle with Azerbaijan. The two sides are reluctant to move an inch from their position over the occupation of the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region. In such a situation, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan reminded Russia of the military agreement and asked for defense assistance.

    Amid Karabakh War

According to international media reports, Prime Minister Pashinyan on Saturday called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold “urgent” defense talks on the war situation.

In return, Armenia claims that Turkey is helping Azerbaijan. And the conflict is not limited to the disputed areas. Now the fighting has moved to the Armenian border. As a result, Moscow must abide by the agreement.

France, America and Russia have tried hard to stop the war between the two countries. But after agreeing to a ceasefire three times, the fighting started again. In such a situation, talks to restore peace in Geneva on Friday were thwarted.

According to analysts, this war has enough fuel to start World War III. If Russia stands by Armenia, Turkey will not back down. As a result, the two forces will be directly involved in the conflict. In this way, others, including the United States, will join the fight to establish interests in the Caucasus.

Armenia and Azerbaijan have been fighting for the occupation of the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region inhabited by Armenians since September 27. Twice a ceasefire agreement was reached in the Russian municipality, but it was short-lived.

So a few days ago, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met separately with the foreign ministers of the two countries in Washington to restore peace in the Caucasus. But that attempt failed. As a result, the fighting between the two countries has intensified. Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed that about 5,000 people have died in the war so far.
