The latest software update will introduce security patches in December 2020, which were released earlier this week as part of a wider Pixel feature drop update. The update includes several new features and is available for Google devices related to Pixel 3.
If you are interested in learning more about the December 2020 security patches, you can see our news here. As for performance degradation, there are many things that need to be addressed. One of the most interesting new features is called adaptive sound. This feature is available for the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5, which can be used to assess the surround sound through your device’s microphone and then adjust the volume adjustment settings in some apps to improve the sound quality of the surround speakers.
At the same time, the decline in performance includes new wallpapers, Google’s Hold for Me feature, and a compatible connection, which automatically switches the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G from 5G to 4G depending on the software used. Your phone chooses 4G when browsing the Internet or texting. Converts to 5G to play movies or download large files. We explained this feature in detail when it appeared to be an “enhanced link” in the Android 11 Developer Preview.
Unfortunately, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL do not get any of the new features that are detailed in the Pixel feature drop. But if one of them feels good to you, you may want to consider upgrading your device once it reaches the end of its life.
