The two best first bowlers of English is still struggled to fit for upcoming world T-20 event. Jofra Archer and Mark Wood ware suffering injuries from long time. English cricket team is missing those two bowler for perfect team combination. The World T20 event is going held in Australia in October. However Mark Wood is far better condition than Jofra Archer.
England white-ball coach Matthew Mott share update about Jofra Archer and Mark Wood injuries condition and probability to play upcoming world T20 in Australia.
Matthew Mott is admit that Jofra Archer would be unfit for World t20 “It will be a bit of a challenge for Jofra,” but good news came from Mark Wood, “Wood is probably the closest. We would love to have both of those guys right now.” But we have no control over it. Whatever we bring to the World Cup has to be good enough.” Mott admits.
Meanwhile, Mark Wood is suffering elbow injury during last West Indies vs England test series. Wood already finished second operation and it being three month ahead of world t20.
Jofra Archer tries his best and said ‘I am still working to come back on the field‘.
“This county season will not allow for that to occur in a game setting, but the thought that I should be bowling by September to play competitive cricket again shortly after keeps me going. Remember that the World Cup begins in October.”
