Mithali Raj, India’s famous women cricketer, has announced her retirement. She has captained Team India in all three formats since last few years. Mithali announced her retirement via social media Wednesday afternoon. Mithali said goodbye to her 23-year-old international career.
Mithali Raj announced that she was retiring at the age 39. Mithali Raj wrote on Twitter, “I was a little girl who wore a blue jersey when I represented my country.” The journey was lengthy enough to witness many moments. However, the 23 years that I have been playing for my country in the past 23 years have been the most memorable. This journey, like all other journeys, is ending and I am announcing my retirement from international cricket.
