Redmi 9i is reportedly to get launched in India today. The device belongs to the Redmi 9 series which debuted last quarter in India. The Redmi 9, Redmi 9A and Redmi 9 Prime models have included already, and the Redmi 9i is the latest device that is now getting added to the list. On Flipkart and Mi.com the Redmi 9i is officially verified and pre-launched. It is designed with a waterdrop-notch and has a 3.5 mm socket for the audio jack. The mobile is being called ‘huge-in-entertainment’ which refers to the life of the battery which is strong along with its high-quality display characteristics.
Today at 12 noon, according to Indian Standard Time, Xiaomi is going to release the new Redmi 9i. For anyone who is curious about the new handset, a special page on Mi.com is made available for them where the users can get notifications regarding the registrations of this device. The Redmi 9i is backed by a MediaTek Helio processor and have about 4GB RAM according to the latest teasers. In addition, the dedicated website teases that the handset supports a 3.5 mm audio jack and has all the physical buttons on the right side.
The Redmi 9i also offers a large touchscreen with a waterdrop notch, as we said above. This device will also support a MicroSD card for storage expansion. The mobile will carry a big battery, offer game-centered functionality and camera improvements as compared to the previous models of this series. The device has also been verified that it is operating on MIUI 12. According to the Mi.com dedicated page, this device will also support the Mi Fast Charging feature.
The handset is fitted with a 720×1600 pixel ratio 6.53-inch touch-screen display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Redmi 9i is controlled by an octa-core 1.5GHz MediaTek Helio G25 processor that comes with a 1.5-GHz power supply of 4 cores and a 2-GHz power supply of another 4 cores. The Redmi 9i mobile phone is running on Android 10 out of the box and has a 5000mAh battery which can’t be removed.
The Redmi 9i also has a 13-megapixel camera on the rear with an f/2.2 aperture for images and videos. In the front, a selfie camera is available with a waterdrop notch and has a 5 MP lens. The phone comes in two storage variants, 64GB and 128 GB and both of them support a microSD card which can be used to increase the storage up to 512 GB. Other features like VoWiFi, 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, and Micro-USB for charging are also available in the Redmi 9i device. Talking about the sensors, then this device includes a gyro sensor, proximity sensor, environment light sensor, and an e-compass.
Earlier leaks indicate that the price of the Redmi 9i in India can begin with ₹7,999. The phone is a little more costly than the Redmi 9A which costs around ₹6,799 but less costly than Redmi 9 and Redmi 9 Prime which costs around ₹8,999 and ₹9,999 respectively. The phone will be available in Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green colors.
