    Sourav Ganguly-Amit Shah Meeting: Sourav is Coming to Politics?

    The BJP has been trying to get Sourav Ganguly in the party for some time. In the meantime, Sourav visited Raj Bhavan yesterday and met Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar. And today it is reported that Union Home Minister Amit Shah met him in Delhi. There has been a lot of speculation about this.

    BCCI President Sourav Singh appeared at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi today to unveil a statue of the late Jaitley. Gautam Gambhir, a BJP MP and former national team cricketer. Also present were Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina. The statue was unveiled by Amit Shah. “I was wondering if I would come to this event,” he said.

He met Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar at Raj Bhavan yesterday. Asked if he or any of his family members were entering politics during the flight to Delhi today, he said he had to go if he wanted to meet the governor.

    When asked about Sourav, state BJP president Dilip Ghosh said successful people should come into politics. Asked if he would be fielded as the BJP’s chief ministerial candidate, he said, “You have to join the party first and work first.”

    Assembly vote in April-May. Before that, the political arena of Bengal was abuzz with the possibility of Sourav joining politics.
