Captain Cool MS Dhoni Announces Retirement From International Cricket

MS Dhoni Mr Captain cool lovingly called Mahi by his fans over the world, On Saturday 15th Aug announced his retirement from international cricket. He had shared a video on his instagram, he wrote, “Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired”

MS Dhoni captained the Indian national team in limited-overs formats from 2007 to 2016 and in Test cricket from 2008 to 2014. In his journey he knows as India’s most successful captain in limited-over internationals, having won three ICC trophies – 2007 T20 World Cup, 50-over World Cup in 2011 and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. Also he is found successful in IPL leading The Chennai Super Kings Team to victory three times.

Retiring from Test cricket in December 2014, Dhoni played ODIs and T20s with 4876 runs in 90 matches. With 10,7333 runs, Dhoni is the fifth highest run scorer in ODIs with Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid. His overall Indian numbers are staggering: 538 matches, 17,266 runs, 16 centuries, 108 fifties, 359 sixes, 829 dismissals.
