The Big Picture TV Quiz Show Promo: Starring Ranveer Singh

    Ranveer Singh, the actor known for his bizarre fashion preferences, is now going to be seen in form of a host on a television show named The Big Picture. Set to telecast on Colors TV, the channel on Saturday shared a promo video where Ranveer is featured describing the format of the quiz show among other things. Ranveer Singh himself shared the first rushes of The Big Picture. Some days ago, the Band Baaja Baaraat actor issued a statement saying that it is time for his television debut via a unique quiz show. In the promo discussed above, he was seen teasing the show’s format as — ‘tasveer se taqdeer tak’ meaning the big fate of win through pictures. The actor is excited to host Colors TV’s upcoming quiz show named – ‘The Big Picture’.

    The Padmaavat actor posted the promo of his show on social media on Saturday where he is discussing his popular on-screen characters over the years, from Bittoo of Band Baaja Baaraat, Murad Ahmed of Gully Boy, to Khilji of Padmaavat among others. While he’s naming these characters, the stills of those characters can be seen on the screen. He further added that similarly in this quiz show, the contestants will try to answer questions in form of pictures and they will get a chance to win crores worth of prize money on The Big Picture. In the promo video, Ranveer Singh talked about how different people see the actor as different characters. “Dekha jaaye toh khel bas nawazzar ka hai (If you see, it’s all a game of perception),” he told, relating it to the form of the quiz show where participants will get questions based on pictures and if answered correctly, they can win crores of prize money.

    But they will face 12 visual-based questions and can use three lifelines. Also, people can also participate in sitting at homes and win numerous prizes. Planned to air on Color TV, The Big Picture can also be watched on Voot as well as Jio TV. On Saturday, the ’83’ actor Ranveer Singh put up a post on Instagram sharing the first glimpse of his show The Big Picture which he’ll be hosting. His post came hours after he officially confirmed his quiz show. Ranveer told the media that he is extremely excited and is looking forward to hosting the people of India “in an extremely unique and engaging way” in The Big Picture, his television debut quiz show on Colors. He shared the teaser video on Instagram and wrote, “#TheBigPicture”, also tagging Colors TV in the post. Ranveer Singh also revealed the format of his game show when sharing the promo of his first show The Big Picture.

    He talked about the journey he encompassed in Bollywood by playing versatile characters on the screen. The Simmba actor is delighted to host his first quiz show as he told the media in a statement. “In my journey as an artiste, the urge to experiment and explore has been constant. Indian cinema has undeniably given me everything – it’s been a platform for me to excel and showcase my skills as an actor and I have been fortunate to get immense love from the people of India. Now, I look to connect with them in an extremely unique and engaging way through my television debut with Colors’ The Big Picture.     In the promo video released by Colors on social media, the actor tries to explain the theme of his ‘anokha’ quiz show to the viewers. He explains it in Hindi, “Ek anokha quiz show, jahan tasveeron mein milenge sawaal, aur jawaabon mein milenge karodo (A unique quiz show where questions will be found in pictures, and millions will be found in answers).”He ended his cameo saying, “Big Picture-Tasveer se Taqdeer tak.” Moreover, Colors TV, when posted his video on their channel, wrote in the caption, “Tasveeron mein milenge sawaal aur jawaab mein milenge karodon! Aa rahe hai @ranveersingh, tasveer se aapki taqdeer badalne. Watch him in #TheBigPicture, coming soon.” Before the launch of the teaser of The Big Picture, Colors announced its collab with the Dil Dhadakne Do actor Ranveer Singh through a tweet tagging him, “Super excited to welcome the superstar @RanveerOfficial to @viacom18 family with #TheBigPicture.

Stay tuned for more updates on The Big Picture!” The Big Picture is basically a TV quiz show that challenges the visual memory as well as knowledge of the participants. Contestants will get three lifelines and they have to answer correctly 12 visual-based questions in order to step toward the grand prize which the channel stated to be in crores. This show has an interactive format so people can also play it while sitting at their homes. The Big Picture will also stream on Jio TV and Voot and it is produced by Banijay Asia and ITV Studios Global Entertainment B.V.. The release date is not yet disclosed but is expected to telecast quite soon.

    Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is all set to showcase his queer talents in his digital debut on Netflix. Reports say that he will also be hosting a queer adventure cum reality show where he will appear in a completely different avatar. The show has been prepared by Bear Grylls himself and will be shot in Siberia in the coming month according to inside sources. Ranveer Singh has movies lined up as he will star next in ’83’, ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’, ‘Cirkus’ as well as ‘Sooryavanshi’. The Padmaavat actor will also act in Karan Johar’s next directorial venture where he’ll be seen opposite Alia Bhatt. Ranveer Singh is all packed and ready for his grand debut on the small screen through his unique quiz show The Big Picture.

    Here, the contestants have to face 12 questions based on pictures with the help of three lifelines that they can use anytime. The show is set to air on Colors, and for online streaming, it has already booked Jio TV and Voot so users can watch it there. Ranveer Singh is also waiting for his next big release ’83’, a Kabir Khan’s sports movie postponed indefinitely because of the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic. The movie is said to focus on India’s maiden World Cup victory in the year 1983 where Ranveer will play the role of former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev.
